We are quickly coming to the end of our year of quilting. We have Nichole to sew for this July but no one for August. So, what does everyone want to do for the coming year? Do you want out of the bee? to go again?
I have to apologize Sorrel. I have noticed (only by looking at the pictures just now) that one of the blocks i sent back to you is seriously screwed up. I guess that that is what I get for trying to sew while both my 7 and 4 year olds had friends spending the night. Having 2 friends spend the night while my husband was out of town was not one of the brightest ideas I have had… So, I am sorry. I do think that the other one came out pretty well though…
Oh, the fabric envy… your stash must be fabulous Dorrie. This is a super fun block. I am taking part in a vintage sheet swap right now and a quilt like this is at the top of my list to make with that fabric.
Working on these circles for Angie was really tough for me- major snafu. It will be a long time before I do any curved piecing again. Thankfully they are done now and they did not come out too bad. I will not even show you my first attempt. That would just be embarrassing. I am sending it to you though Angie- in case you want to cut it up or take it apart.
as soon as Adriennes fabric arrived on thursday I dove right in and started cutting. this is the way i usually quilt- very haphazard. I am mostly happy with the result… of course I would be happier if it actually met Adrienne’s size requirements…right now it is 18 by 20. I could cut it down a bit and then add a one inch border of the blue. would that look bad? what do you all think?
please excuse the shadows. it is night time but I really wanted to post…
