Circle Love

Here are my circles for Angie. . .what a great charity. The quilt will be loved.

    These are beautiful! Do you have any tips on how to make a square such as the one on the right? It’s so perfect!

    Hi Sorrel, thank you! It’s a super simple process~I actually made the block in quarters. I layered 2 different sized 1/4 circles atop each of the four 6 1/2″ square. I used a bit of fusible to hold them in place. Then I stitched the blocks together. I pressed the seams open to disperse the fabric layers evenly. I finished the raw edges of the circles with a machine buttonhole stitch, using an open-toed applique foot and a layer of tear-away stabilizer underneath to keep the stitches from sinking. The hardest part was deciding fabric combinations~
