Star Sampler – Week 10

Here it is!  There was ALOT of fudging involved in the making of this square.  I just couldn’t quite make it work with one of the given measurements for the Flying Geese patches around the border (errors with my technique, I’m sure, but nonetheless…..).  So after a lot of seam ripping, I re-cut some of the brown fabric using my own measurements and then trimmed back.  As the saying: “All’s well that ends well,” and I do think that it’s beautiful.  Heidi, your fabric selections are gorgeous, and this quilt is going to be gorgeous when it’s put together.  This was a fantastic idea, and I can’t wait to see more stars and the final product.

Due to the holiday, I think it will probably be in the mail on Monday.

Happy New Year to all of you,

Sorrel

It’s SO Pretty! You did a great job. I’m a little giddy.

I made more of the setting blocks today and I’m worried that they are too over powering. I’ll post a picture later and see what you guys think.

It looks great Sorrel! I would have never known you had trouble with the outside border. 🙂
