Sharon and Theresa’s blocks complete
I’m all caught up now. I finished both Sharon and Theresa’s blocks.
I’m pretty happy with how they turned out.. I just hope you both like them as well.

I was excited to get Lisa’s package in the mail. I’m usually not this quick at things.. trust me. But I finished the block today and will get it in the mail tomorrow.
I love your fabrics – can’t wait to see the finished product.
Ok – I need your opinions. Be totally honest.. it’s not too late.

I’ve made 3 setting blocks so far and I am using the same cream fabric that I sent each of you for the blocks – along with the deep red version. But now as I see them together – I’m worried that the red is too dark and over powering.
I didn’t use the red anywhere in any of the stars. And I thought it would help to pull the reds out of the stars.
Do you think it will look ok all together and the stars will all POP ? Or should I opt for a more muted fabric?
What are your thoughts? Talk to me.
I’ve received two blocks and they are so pretty! Here is a picture of them with the block that I made along with a setting block that I have done.

This is going to be so pretty! I’m so excited.
But remember.. no rush. I know it’s a busy time for people and I still have 11 setting blocks to make. yikes!!
Thank you everyone! You are such talented people.
I decided on a pattern, picked out the fabric and did the math. Now I’ve finally packaged it all up and it’s going in the mail tomorrow.
Let’s hope I did the math correctly – let me know if you don’t have enough fabric. No worries on getting them back by the end of the month. I’m late getting them out and I know everyone is busy this time of year.
I feel like I’m behind even though I’m still within September. lol. But I’m finally mailing my block for Meagan today! It’s in the ziploc (incase it rains from AZ to AL).. in a big envelope with the address on it.. sitting next to me on the desk. After I finish this post – I’m heading to the post office.
I can’t tell you guys how excited and happy I am that I somehow, magically, stumbled on this quilting bee! It must have been fate.
Also – one last note. I am having a giveaway on my regular blog. It’s my 50th post and my first giveaway. So check it out if you have time.
Have a great day!
Sorry for the delay in getting this out to everyone. I’m still trying to figure out how to use WordPress and not sure the correct way to do this yet. But I want to post the html code for our blog button.
**Updated HTML code – sorry.. this should work this time.
<em><a href=”http://www.quilterbees.wordpress.com”><img src=”http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu352/hfoltz/Quilterbeeblogbutton.jpg”/></a></em>
If you have a blog on Blogger – this is how you install the button on your blog.
1. Go to your dashboard and click on Layout
2. click on tab for “page elements”
3. select “Add a gadget”
4. select “HTML/Java Script
5. Name your badge (optional)
6. copy and paste the above code into the “content” box. click “Save”
7. Preview to make sure it looks like you want.
I hope these are good instructions.. and I hope they work. lol.
You can check out my blog to see how it looks if you want. I added it to my sidebar.
As you may begin to realize – I have commitment issues. I made another button to add to the mix. Let’s do a vote and the winning button will be the one we can all post on our blogs etc. Here are Options 1 thru 4. I will tally the votes on Sunday the 23rd.
** I have added the button created by Bateau – I should have included it originally. Sorry about that!
Ok, I created a couple badge ideas. I won’t be offended if you guys don’t like them. I didn’t use any actual bees – although I think they are adorable… I didn’t have one to use.
But I did use some sewing embelishments. Now be honest! I can try a few different ideas also. And I’ll say it again – I won’t be offended if you don’t like either of them. I was just playing around and trying to come up with something.
I can change the words.. I can change the colors.. or scrap it. lol

Hello! My name is Heidi and I live in Glendale AZ. I am married with two boys, ages 9 and 5. They keep me very busy.
I also work full time as a Systems Analyst. Sewing is my therapy – it’s how I relax. I love to create and I love to see the look on peoples faces when they recieve something home made.
I am new to quilting and I cannot wait to challenge myself and learn from all of you. We will make some beautiful quilts this year together and I’m so excited about that.
I recently started a blog to share the things that I make. It is www.handmadebyheidi.com
I am anxious to get to know you all better over the next 12 months and beyond.
