blocks for sharon

I was able to get one 12.5 block out of the fabric, and I started another but I didn’t have enough of the light gray to finish it. So I figure I’ll send it and you can add to it or not if you choose. This is going to be a beautiful quilt. So simple. I can’t wait to see it all finished!

For Sharon

Finally got Sharon’s block done!  On to Theresa’s!  Hope you like it, sharon.  I will give it another pressing before shipping.  It really doesn’t look this wrinkled in person. :)   And it is just sitting crooked on that ruler – it is 12.5″ square, promise.

Take care,

Lisa

Drunk love for Sharon

February 7, 2010 Angie 4 comments

A little bit of sewing time today allowed me to make Sharon’s blocks. I didn’t quite have enough fabric for two blocks, but I had (what appeared to be) the same gray. I added just a bit for completion. I’ve always liked the “drunk love” quilts. I think this quilt will look fabulous. I’ll get these in the mail this week!

Jewel Squares

I had in mind that I would just make as many blocks as I could with the fabric sent. However, there was quite a bit more fabric than I realized. So, I quit after I had one 12.5, 4-6.5, and 4-3.5. One of the 6.5 is a bit crooked on one edge, but I’m sending it, anyway. If you have enough you won’t need it and it less than 1/8 inch off. I’ll get these in the mail next week, Theresa, with the last bit of scraps.

Churn Dash dashed off

Having been quite inspired by all your posts, I actually managed to sit down at the machine this morning and sew this up. It went really quickly, and I didn’t have to rip anything back! Now all I have to do is get it in the mail for Lisa.

I had to make one more using the gray fabric.  I’m so happy that I did because I love this one.  All squares and scraps are packaged up and in the mail tomorrow.

Sharon. . .I Have a Question

February 2, 2010 Dorrie 7 comments

Hi~I received my package today. . .thank you. . .I’m anxious to get started! Maybe I’m over-thinking this one. . .do  you want half of us to start with a light gray square and the other half to start with dark gray. . .the blocks in Denyse’s version alternate as do many of the other’s I’ve seen. Do you have a preference? Am I being to picky?

I sent out Lisa’s churn dash block a while ago and in my haste I forgot to take a picture of it. I hope you received it Lisa. I also hope that Heidi’s star block made its way back to her:)

Here is Theresa’s block. 12.5″ square.

Ok, I hope I am caught up with everything.

Now for Feb. block, can’t wait Sharon!
